Line dry nearly all of your lingerie items

Use the "hand-wash" cycle on your washing machine to launder your lingerie safely. If you do not have a "hand-wash" cycle, a delicate cycle can be okay for items that are not too delicate. If you are unsure, you may want to stick with washing the item by hand.

Put items with special straps, sequins, hooks or lace into special mesh lingerie bags. There are numerous kinds available. This step is critical. One time in the washing machine without a mesh bag and a delicate item can be destroyed.

Line dry nearly all of your cheap lingerie items. Some lingerie labels suggest that they can go in the dryer. However, the dryer can be very hard on them over time and they are more prone to become ragged. When line drying, be sure to put items marked "lay flat" down flat on a mesh drying rack. If you choose to put a few heavier lingerie items in the dryer, be sure to keep them in the mess bag.

Consider your competition. Figure out what will make your lingerie different from other brands and why customers would prefer your lingerie. These questions help you to decide what type of lingerie you'd like to design, whether it'll be for larger cup sizes, extra support, bridal lingerie, funky designs, sexy lingerie or more traditional styles. After you decide this, you have found your lingerie design niche.

Check out the lingerie industry by researching your niche to see if anyone else is already offering the types of undergarments that you'd like to offer. Researching for a few hours will allow you to get an idea of what your competition is doing and whether your line will be as unique as you think.

Subscribe to lingerie magazines and attend lingerie fashion shows to see how fashions change from month to month or season to season. These shows will allow you to see what you'll have to match up with and will also provide inspiration. Visiting lingerie boutiques is another great way to be inspired.MORE:cheap sexy lingerie
